The Italian Garden
There is something about nature
When tamed by human mind
Hedges are cut to precise shape
And flowers arranged in line
Beds of flowers in symmetrical rows
Grass rolled and cut upon the land
Paths leading to their door
Marble statues cut by Italian hand
Birds that chirp within the trees
Flowers that pollinate from bees
Small insects crawl across the lawn
Worms caught in the due at dawn
Long plains of grass a sea of green
Hiding structures that once had been
A river gargles through the rocks
The sun tells the time by a shadow clock
We try to tame nature and all its might
But symmetrical or natural it’s a beautiful sight
Clouds cast shadows across the lawn
The Italian garden waits for another dawn
Wat is Hell for U?
Wat is Hell for U?
Is it waiting for the bus?
Standing in the rain?
Being told "I told you so" time and time again?
Going to see a friend; and they're never in?
Or a place u go when you die, for committing a sin?
Wat is Hell for U?
Forgetting to back the horses, and then your horse comes in?
Or throwing the winning lotto accidently in the bin?
Is it trying to light a cigarette on a windy day?
Or tying your laces and your hat gets blown away?
Wat is Hell for U?
Could it be trying to remember a story that's been told?
Or enjoying your summer holidays and then catching a cold?
'Could be counting up your money; then your bills come in!
Or simple things like forgetting to put ou yer weelie bin.
Wat is Hell for U?
Trying to start the motor on a winters day?
Having a conversation and not knowing what to say?
Getting out of your bed too early in the morning?
Or those situations in your life that catch you without warning?
Wat is Hell for U?
Is it aw' these things an' maire?
Is it just old age?
'Beginnin' to lose yer hair?
Whatever it is or wherever you go
Hell is just the same!
Fur aw' oor mistakes an' misfortunes
We need someone else to blame!
And that's hell for me!
