Nathaniel

I remember the day you fell

Into the deep depth of the water

We stood

We thought it was a Joke

As you lay there dying

How could it all be so black with the sun so bright?

We waited

Waited for you to appear

Waiting for you to turn up behind us like a sick joke

As you lay there dying.

The water so cold the fear burning our hearts

I remember the day you were lifted

Out of the depth of the water

We sat

As we prayed it was all not real

As you lay there dead

We held each other

Holding you kid forever in your hearts

For Katie

“Beauty” alone can not describe Katie

Flowing and soft her hair

Like the kind knowledge that she gives

Strong and brave her words

Like the love that she exudes

“Sister” alone cannot describe Katie

Caring and attentive her advice

Like a life-long best friend

Useful and consistent her style

Like a well paid shopper to keep you in trend

I, alone cannot describe Katie

Enchanting and complex her ways

Like the grand Oceans tide

Content and proud am I

To have her by my side!

For John

They told me “the stars are out tonight”

And as I look I see you're there

Shining bright, shining strong

Like your rich pure smile that told

A million thoughts

The book of our tales

The laughs we had

The comfort you brought

As I sat there alone

Jumping on cars

Dancing with Lucy

The promises we made

That will always be kept
