Fix-ed stares on dead, dead words

Read and read and read and read

And round and round and round by head

MY HEAD! My head, my head

My Head!

Blocks of words but the meanings dead

They tell me – every last one does

My mind is fit and curious

But where’s the filter to catch these words?

To make them work like I’d overheard

… see, me and serendipity

We’re just passing thro’

Grazing much as like and how

The cattle feed on simple grass

Where

Ruminations feed their guts

Their bellies work without a fuss

They think not how to work it out

But

Can you or I argue with the process, this

Fantastic photosynthesis

And

The stupid cow’s part in breaking down

Without subject, object, verb, or noun

Green shoots and cows
